My digital paintings are moving manifestations of fine art: both representational and modern.
This hybrid medium fuses elements of visual art, music, and dance. I extrapolate the traditional language of Western Visual Art: composition, color relationships, form, space, line, texture, narrative, and emotional and intellectual impact into a medium of painting which moves over time. This time is organized by principles of music performance and composition: phrase, melody, structure, repetition, tension, and release. Where music fails me, I use elements of dance: gesture, costume, figures with anatomical ranges and restrictions of motion, relationships between moving bodies, tableau, pacing, and the stage.
Some works are my own and others are adaptations of other disciplined artists: oil painters, video artists, and photographers. We seek to provide a timeless body of work with emphasis on craft and meaning to enrich our own time and that of generations to come.
